Spence R Kass is a principal of Kass & Associates, an architecture and Design Firm based in Philadelphia and founded in 1990. Mr. Kass has 23 years of experience encompassing a wide range of design disciplines including architecture, interior design, and urban design. With acute attention to user's needs and constraints of budget, Kass & Associates specializes in finding creative solutions that maximize the potential of existing buildings, unique situations, and urban contexts. Whether working directly with owners or providing consulting services as part of a team, the firm strives to provide designs that transform and enhance the built environment. The firm's commercial and residential work exhibits the ability to work with historically sensitive structures as well in contemporary settings. Mr. Kass holds a Master of Architecture from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. Components of his Master's Thesis in Urban Design at Cornell University were incorporated in a 1989 master plan for the New Jersey State Capital in Trenton. Mr. Kass is a fellow of the American Academy in Rome and he is currently an Assistant Professor of Architecture at Philadelphia University. As a member of NCARB, Mr. Kass is licensed to practice architecture in Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, and Florida. |
